Girls’ Generation Presented the Performance of ‘The Boys’ on a French No.1 Talk Show as the First Korean Artist! 

Girls’ Generation appeared on a French No.1 TV talk show ‘Le Grand Journal’ as the first Korean artist and received an explosive response.  

Girls’ Generation performed ‘The Boys’ on ‘Le Grand Journal,’ which was aired on the 9th from 7:00 p.m. (Paris Time) through CANAL plus channel, and attracted the attention of the viewers in France. 

Especially, the audience sent loud cheers for Girls’ Generation when they appeared and sang along the chorus in Korean. The host ‘Michel Denisot’ and the panels said, “This kind of excitement is a very rare phenomenon. It’s very difficult to choose one. They are all awesome.” 

After the performance of ‘The Boys,’ the host asked how Girls’ Generation was formed and asked about French fans’ enthusiastic response. Girls’ Generation briefly introduced, “We are comprised of 9 members and we were cast when we were young.” Then Tiffany said, “This is the second time we've been in France and this is the first time we've been on French TV and it's just a joy to see our fans here. Especially when we're performing here, you can hear them participating and it just feels amazing. Thank you so much! You guys are awesome.”

On this day, Girls’ Generation also appeared on ‘La Boîte à questions (Question Box),’ a spot of Le Grand Journal,’ and answered questions. Since this will be aired on the 10th, Girls’ Generation will make an appearance on a French famous talk show ‘Le Grand Journal’ for two consecutive days (2/9 and 2/10). 

After the performance on ‘Le Grand Journal,‘ Girls’ Generation said, “Although it was our first time to make an appearance on a French TV, the audiences gave an enthusiastic response and cheered in Korean. So we were very surprised. Girls’ Generation will try harder.” 

Thus, Girls’ Generation proved their global popularity and status by appearing on America’s TV shows, ‘The Late Show With David Letterman’ and ‘LIVE With Kelly,’ and a French No.1 TV talk show ‘Le Grand Journal.’ 

Meanwhile, Girls’ Generation had an interview with the French terrestrial TV M6’s main news at the ‘Music Bank in Paris’ and will leave Paris on the 10th for Bangkok, Thailand to hold their solo concert.
